Turkey Cookies

Don't worry, these cute little treats are cookies that look like turkeys, not cookies with turkey in them! They are a fun addition to any Thanksgiving celebration; in fact I've been bringing these little guys to Thanksgiving in the Barn for quite a while and they are always a hit with the cousins. Yesterday I made them for a local Catholic college group and they loved them too! They are also great to share at school or a playgroup. And don't worry if you're not a baker, because these cookies are created with all pre made ingredients! Its great activity to do with your family and works well done in an assembly line. Did I ever mention that I love Thanksgiving?!

Turkey Cookies

fudge stripe cookies (or the off brand equivalent!)
chocolate kisses
gum drops
orange tic tacs
chocolate frosting

1. Cut a cookie in half (a butter knife works fine). Put frosting on the cut side and attach it slightly off center to a whole cookie that is flipped upside-down.

2. Put frosting on the bottom of a chocolate kiss. Attach it to the center of the whole cookie.

3. Push a gum drop onto the top of the chocolate kiss for the head (No frosting needed for this part!)

4. Put a couple dabs of frosting on the whole cookies in front of the chocolate kiss. Stick on the orange tic tacs for the feet.

5. Repeat to create an army of adorable turkey cookies

6. Amaze your friends and enjoy!
